2021 PROJECTS

After a long hiatus due to COVID lockdown I’m so grateful to be performing and creating projects once again.

In January 2021, my video Agak-Agak was debuted as part of Multicultural Arts Victoria’s Mapping Melbourne Festival 20/21. To watch Agak-Agak click HERE.

KuehLapis at Pivot Residency The Abbotsford Convent from mid Dec 2021 to Jan 2022

After 4 days my residency was cut short from its 14 days at the Convent when we were forced into lockdown in August 2021. Very excited to be back researching a long term project focussing on the ageing-female-dance body which is KuehLapis. I feel very privileged to be working with cinematographer, Kang Wei Tan and sound artist, Ai Yamamoto in an amazing space, The Industrial School. During this time I seek to build on a new choreographic direction using documented choreographic and music material (by Ria Soemardjo and Mindy Meng Wang) from the first development showing into a new area of development – choreographing specifically for screen. Can’t wait to get on the floor in mid December!

Layers of Time – August 2021

A multi-sensory experience of design, performance and food, Higher Order takes audiences deep into another realm where scent, sound and taste merge in an Asiatic-inspired culinary hallucination.
